Alternative Information Systems (AIS) has been a premier WNY IT service firm for 35 years, specializing in the SMB market. We are currently seeking several motivated and skilled IT technicians to join our team.

Details:

The positions being offered are full-time and on site. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, between 8AM and 7PM (8 hour workday, start time dependent on specific position). Occasional special projects may require working off hours or weekends with compensation. Looking for motivated and organized individuals who work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Phone and online support for our existing client base, both onsite and from our Buffalo Office. Install and configure IT devices on customer sites, including server rack equipment and phone system equipment. Provide desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues. Assist with basic network support and troubleshooting. Identify and escalate issues based on standard SLAs. Maintain and support Active Directory and user accounts. Ensure the smooth operation of Windows operating systems across all devices. Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and support workflows. Document and track issues using our ticketing system. Communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.

Required Experience:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (must have a car). Proven experience in desktop support and basic network troubleshooting. Understanding of basic networking concepts. Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure, and Intune management. Proficiency in Windows 10, 11 and Server OS. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.

Desired Experience:

Familiarity with remote access software Experience with cybersecurity applications Familiarity with PSA software Experience with the following technologies and vendors: Fortinet, Aruba, Veeam, Cisco, Extreme, VMWare Familiarity with VoIP phone systems
