We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach to assist users effectively.
Duties
Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
Manage computer systems and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the administration of IT infrastructure including VPN, firewalls, DNS, and TCP/IP configurations.
Utilize tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira for tracking support requests and managing incidents.
Conduct software installations and updates using SCCM and manage group policies (GPO).
Support mobile devices and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
Collaborate with network administration teams to resolve LAN issues and enhance overall network performance.
Maintain documentation of IT processes, procedures, and user guides for future reference.
Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating solutions to end-users.
Requirements
Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of IT support principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with various operating systems including Windows Server.
Knowledge of computer management practices, computer hardware components, and networking concepts (TCP/IP).
Experience with analysis skills to diagnose problems efficiently.
Familiarity with Active Directory for user management tasks.
Understanding of network administration principles including Meraki devices.
Excellent communication skills to interact with users at all levels effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
