Job Description

Position Summary



The IT Specialist supports Divi Carina Bay's infrastructure by providing technical assistance, managing systems, and ensuring seamless daily operations across the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, and network systems, providing end-user support, and assisting with projects that improve system reliability, data security, and overall business efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset--committed to delivering exceptional service to the resort's team.

Key Responsibilities



Technical Support & Systems Maintenance



Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to PCs, printers, mobile devices, POS systems, and telecommunication tools. Maintain inventory and documentation of IT equipment, licenses, and configurations. Coordinate repairs, replacements, and updates to minimize downtime and service disruption.

Network & Infrastructure



Support network administration, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor system performance and security alerts to ensure operational stability. Collaborate with the Director of IT on system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts. Ensure data backup systems and disaster recovery procedures are functioning and tested regularly.

Cybersecurity & Compliance



Assist in implementing cybersecurity protocols, updates, and access controls to protect company data. Support staff training and awareness initiatives to promote security best practices. Ensure compliance with Divi Resorts' IT policies, procedures, and data protection standards.

Projects & Collaboration



Participate in cross-departmental technology initiatives supporting operations, finance, and HR systems. Test and implement new software, applications, and integrations as approved. Work closely with resort IT staff to ensure alignment between corporate and property-level systems. Contribute to documentation, reporting, and recommendations for IT process improvements.

Qualifications



Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role. Experience in hospitality or multi-site environments strongly preferred.

Technical Skills



Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backup systems, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Knowledge of security tools such as antivirus management, endpoint protection, and firewall configuration. Working knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems and IT asset management tools.

Work Environment



This position is based at Divi Resorts' Corporate Office and may require occasional travel to resort properties for IT support or project implementation. Standard office hours apply, with flexibility for after-hours or weekend support as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
