IT Specialist

Reports to:

VP of Technology and Continuous Improvement

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware & software components of the organization's computers. They also support these systems through remote access or site visits as needed by management teams within Floyd's.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.) Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule Identify computer or network equipment shortages and share ideas with your supervisor

Education and Experience

Experience as IT Specialist or recently certified (IE: CompTIA) Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication ability Outstanding organizational and time-management skills In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Certification as IT technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

Physical Requirements

This position spends time indoors in air-conditioned areas sitting and repetitive hand/finger movement for prolonged periods.On an irregular basis there will be standing, and walking. There will be infrequent bending, twisting and/or stopping, kneeling and/or squatting, and infrequent lifting of 10lbs. to 25lbs. There could be stairs present, with infrequent reaching and/or lifting overhead, grasping/grabbing with hands, or pushing and pulling.

Other Requirements

Working hours are from 7am to 4pm Mountain, M-F. Infrequently this position will be asked to be on call, or available to address issues, or complete special projects, in the evenings and on weekends.
