Title: IT Security Manager (SOC)
Direct hire position, unable to sponsor.
Duties: Will be responsible for managing a 24/7 Security Operations Center to include monitoring/response operations, rapid identification and mitigation of security incidents. Will lead team to understand, evaluate, and respond to security incidents. Lead initiatives to incorporate AI, machine learning, and automation technologies into SOC workflows to enhance efficiency. Will lead incident response efforts to ensure timely resolution. Will work with managed detection and response partner to monitor/analyze/respond to security alerts. Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals to include hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and professional development. Will be tasked with driving daily/weekly/monthly metrics for threats and KPI's. Provide reporting for data security incidents, ensure SOPs are created/followed by the team, and ensure audit trails, system logs, and other monitoring data are reviewed periodically. Ensure best practices for SOC to support audit readiness. Manage security projects and make recommendations for technical controls to support security policies.
Required Skills:
-3+ years IT Supervisory/Management experience in a SOC environment with oversight of threat detection, incident response processes, and continuous monitoring
-6+ years experience in Security Operations Center role(s)
-CISSP (or similar) certification
-Proficiency with SIEM tools
-SME for monitoring/log analysis, compromise assessments, forensic analysis, root cause analysis, hunting operations, insider threat managment, incident management reporting, and investigation assistance.
-Strong project management skills
-Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solver, demonstrated ethics and confidentiality
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
