Responsibilities:



Participates in reviewing and analyzing requirements and design specifications under the guidance of senior QA team members Assists in preparing test cases based on requirements and user stories Executes test plans and test cases to validate functionality against requirements Performs functional testing, regression testing, and smoke testing across applications and systems Logs and tracks defects using tools such as Jira or other tools Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team meetings Assists in documenting test results and communicating findings to the QA team and developers Supports User Acceptance Testing by preparing test data and tracking user-reported issues Follows established quality assurance processes and standards Participates in release testing and helps validate production deployments Collaborates with project team members to ensure test coverage and timely issue resolution Continuously learns testing tools, methodologies, and software systems used by the organization Contribute to continuous improvements of QA processes and documentation Performs other duties as assigned by the QA Lead or Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



Foundational understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly in Agile or Waterfall environments Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to learn and follow defined testing processes and documentation standards Basic knowledge of quality assurance and testing concepts Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player who works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Willingness to learn from peers and receive feedback Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Exposure to QA tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus Familiarity with or interest in test automation tools (e.g., Copado) is beneficial

EDUCATION (Required and/or Preferred):



Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

FIELD OF STUDY:



Degree preferred in MIS, Computer Science, or business discipline with appropriate exposure to information technology concepts, processes, and systems

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:



Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing core principles of quality analysis.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES (Preferred but Not Required):



Entry-level certification such as ISTQB Foundation Level, Certified Tester, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or other approved by Manager.
