IT Project Manager - Cybersecurity, NIST Frameworks, Risk Management & Government IT Modernization
100% Remote.
Candidate Location: Must be a South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed.
Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of Project Management experience.
• Proven experience managing IT and security-related projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall).
• Ability to develop project plans, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and deliver results on time.
• 3-5 years of Cybersecurity experience, with familiarity in NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and FISMA.
• Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and related standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA).
• Understanding information security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements. -Experience managing security initiatives in government or regulated environments (preferred). E38
• 3-5 years of experience working in an IT environment (Technical Acumen)
• Ability to understand and translate technical requirements into actionable project plans. Experience working with IT teams on system integrations, infrastructure upgrades, or application deployments.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft DevOps, SharePoint, MS Project, and Excel."
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent 5 years of related work experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical, business, and leadership teams.
• Skilled in preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with agency and federal standards.
• Analytical problem-solver with experience in risk identification and mitigation.
• Professional, self-motivated, and adaptable in managing shifting priorities independently.

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years working with one or more South Carolina state agencies in a Project Manager role for information security projects.
• Experience with CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS compliance.
• PMP Certification (preferred or currently pursuing).
• Prior public sector/government experience.
