Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Onsite - Jackson, MS

Duration: 18 Months

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any IT field PMP or equivalent certification (preferred) Minimum 7 years of experience as an IT Project Manager leading complex, large-scale system implementations, preferably in state government or public sector environments.

Experience conducting feasible studies, creating reports, and providing recommendations for IT projects

. Strong experience applying PMBOK, Agile/Hybrid, and/or SUITE methodology in managing IT projects. Experience assessing technical, operational, governance, legal, and financial considerations of state organization Experience Identifying project needs, interoperability standards, and privacy/security requirements Evaluating risks, mitigation strategies, and phased implementation options.

Roles & Responsibility

Prepare briefing materials and presentations for Council meetings related to project deliverables. Facilitate focus group meetings, workshops, and working sessions as needed related to project deliverables. Conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on the requirements of the Statewide Data Exchange. Assess technical, operational, governance, legal, and financial considerations. Identify agency data-sharing needs, interoperability standards, and privacy/security requirements. Evaluate risks, mitigation strategies, and phased implementation options. Deliver findings and recommendations to ITS and the CIO Council Prepare reports and deliverables suitable for submission to the Legislature and other stakeholders

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
