Hi Professionals,
We are urgently looking for an experienced - Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex software development and public sector IT initiatives for our client based in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project execution, stakeholder management, and government technology delivery.
Candidates must hold a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card and be local to NY or NJ for on-site collaboration.
Location: Albany, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract: Full-Time--40 Hours/Week
Industry: Information Technology / Public Sector
Expected Project Duration: 18 months

The position requires an experienced Project Manager responsible for overseeing the execution and control of software development and IT projects, including management of budgets, schedules, scope, communication, risks, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage project execution and control, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, scope, and quality standards.

• Lead software development projects, providing direction to teams and ensuring successful delivery.

• Develop and manage comprehensive project communication plans.

• Track, manage, and communicate project issues and risks effectively.

• Manage project schedules and resources using Microsoft Project or similar tools.

• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee projects within public sector or government IT environments.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months (7 years) of experience managing project execution and control (budgets, schedules, scope, reports, and quality).
• 60 months (5 years) as a lead project manager on software development projects.
• 60 months (5 years) of experience developing and managing communications plans.
• 60 months (5 years) of experience tracking, managing, and communicating issues and risks.
• 48 months (4 years) of experience managing schedules and resources using Microsoft Project.
• 24 months (2 years) of experience managing stakeholder expectations and communication.
• 24 months (2 years) of experience managing public sector government IT projects.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
