About This Role:

Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an IT Operations Specialist 2. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining and securing our IT systems and network infrastructure. You'll provide advanced technical support, lead IT projects, and collaborate across departments to implement solutions that support our mission and operations.

What You Will Do:

Administer and maintain systems, including updates, patches, and monitoring system health. Manage and troubleshoot local network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs). Monitor network performance and address issues related to bandwidth, connectivity, and latency. Implement and enforce local network security protocols and IT asset protection policies. Provide advanced technical support for complex hardware, software, and network issues. Manage and coordinate Operations support tickets Conduct software audits and vulnerability assessments. Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes. Provide training, guidance, and support to technicians.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 2-4 years of relevant IT operations experience. Strong knowledge of server management, network protocols, and security principles. Experience with Windows, Linux, macOS, and virtualization technologies. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and backup solutions. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
