Part-Time Help Desk / Technical Support Specialist (20 hrs/week)

About the Role:

We are seeking a

Part-Time Help Desk / Technical Support Specialist

to provide high-quality technical and customer support. In this role, you'll assist internal staff and external customers with troubleshooting, system access, and technical inquiries, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or chat regarding technical issues and service requests. Provide step-by-step assistance with online systems and user portals. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and customers. Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and assist users with authentication or access problems. Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level IT or systems teams when necessary. Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system. Assist with software installations, updates, and system testing. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely resolution of all support requests. Communicate clearly and professionally with non-technical users to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in IT Help Desk, Technical Support, or Customer Support roles. Experience supporting Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking. Experience with government or enterprise systems preferred.

Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).

Schedule:

Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Flexible hours available

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
