Role: IT Help Desk Specialist
In this role, you'll provide on-site technical assistance and support to internal users for computer systems, networks, hardware, and software. You'll be responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of servers and network hardware/software. You'll also lead the planning, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of complex and sensitive systems and networks, and participate in technical research and development to foster innovation.
Responsibilities:

• Analyze needs and recommend hardware, network, and software upgrades.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of systems, hardware, and server software.
• Perform daily datacenter system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Apply IT purchase processes.
• Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of IT processes and configurations.
• Provide training to ensure sustainable implementation.

Requirements
Basic:

• Two (2) year computer science degree from an accredited institution with strong knowledge of Windows centric environment, and server and network administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be a self-starter, logical thinker, well organized and customer-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot computer systems related problems and perform complex system tests
• Skilled in Microsoft Windows Server management, Microsoft SQL Server administration, VMWare administration, and Cisco network administration.
• Able to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (

Preferred:

• Experience in SAP end user support is a plus.
• Resides within reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri
• Experience in or understanding of SQL Server administration, Windows Server administration, VMWare administration, and Cisco network administration
