We provide onsite IT and technology support services to retail stores and small, medium, and enterprise-level businesses. We are known for our strong field procedures, responsiveness, and hands-on technical expertise. We are seeking an IT Field Technician to join our team, someone who is technically capable, reliable in the field, and interested in learning and growing with the company. Key Responsibilities
Install, implement, and support new and existing technology solutions for customers
Provide onsite support for POS retail systems and related peripherals
Install and configure network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access points
Perform basic telephony work, including:
Using a butt set to identify analog phone lines
Cross-connecting lines from 66 blocks to phone systems
Act as "smart hands" onsite to assist remote support engineers
Install, remove, and replace hardware components in desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment
Install, configure, and remove software on PCs and laptops
Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling, including:
Cat6
Coaxial
RJ45 / RJ11
RG6
BNC
Document work performed and follow internal processes and procedures
Requirements
Must have a basic personal toolkit (additional tools will be provided)
Willing and able to travel to multiple customer locations throughout the day
Ability to follow troubleshooting steps and work independently when required
Strong multitasking skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including professional customer interaction
Understanding of IT support tools, techniques, and field service workflows
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Vehicle & Travel Requirements
Reliable personal vehicle required for travel to customer sites
Work is primarily within the New York City (NYC) area, with occasional travel outside the city as needed
This position includes a monthly vehicle allowance for use of a personal vehicle during work hours
Job-related tolls and parking are reimbursed
Mileage reimbursement may apply for extended travel outside the local service area
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
