Overview:
We are seeking a IT support / Network Engineer to support a large, multi-site healthcare network across New Hampshire and Vermont. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on maintaining and upgrading Cisco-based infrastructure across 70+ locations. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, traveling locally, and collaborating with internal engineering and clinical support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform switch closet refreshes, router upgrades, and general network maintenance
Support LAN/WAN deployments and troubleshoot wired/wireless infrastructure
Serve as a field resource for urgent site-level issues
Collaborate with internal network engineering and operations teams
Produce and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to high-priority incidents
Coordinate with third-party labor to ensure quality and compliance with enterprise standards
Technical Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience with Cisco networking technologies
Proficiency with Cisco routers and switches (Access, Distribution, Core)
Familiarity with Cisco UCS, SD-WAN, ISE, Firepower, and Wi-Fi 6/7
Experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools
Comfortable working in environments with limited ticketing systems (e.g., Sherwell)
Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2/3, wireless, and NAC
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus

Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Willingness to travel locally and work independently
Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
Must obtain a relevant network certification (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+) within the first year of employment
Additional Details:
Travel required across regional service area (up to 90%)
Opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance
