Leidos\xe2\x80\x99 Civilian Health Solutions Operation is seeking a dynamic, mission-centric hands-on IT Facility Specialist/Technician to support a federal agency. We are building out an amazing team of high-impact technology professionals, and we want you to be a part of our ongoing transformation.

Role is 100% onsite at our ARPA-H/National Institutes of Health (NIH) location in Dallas, TX

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable experience with hardware, software and document configuration management processes, procedures and products.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for troubleshooting hardware/software, PC, and printer problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Provide information and support to customers about IT products and services.
  • Setup, operate and maintain sound and video equipment for use in live events, such as meetings, business events/ conventions, and webinars.
  • Provide troubleshooting for remote participants. Create and manage all virtual rooms and video links for participants.
  • Communicate out to external community about upcoming changes, troubleshooting and pertinent updates.
  • Collaborate with external vendors or service providers for maintenance, repairs, or installation related to IT systems.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard IT systems and data within the facility, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Research, evaluate, test and make recommendations for emerging teleconferencing technologies to the customer.
  • Update and test videoconferencing audiovisual equipment (videoconferencing bridges, video conferencing codecs, multimedia, audiovisual, projection systems, displays, cameras, microphones, integrated A/V systems, streaming technologies.
  • Document and track customer issues. Escalate issues to the appropriate level of support when necessary
  • Demonstrable experience of managing assets including documentation, hardware, virtual devices, software, licenses
  • Demonstrable experience administering and maintaining a software licensing, asset management and configuration management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in IT-related field and 2-4 years of experience in asset management and using asset management tracking tools, 4 additional years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team and Facility IT Manager informed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Excellent customer facing skills. Ability to potentially interact with senior staff in the agency and scientific community.
  • Ability to work/ collaborate with different contractor and government teams as well as industry and vendors with a high level of professionalism, good judgment, and tact.
  • Experience implementing security measures to safeguard IT systems and data within a facility, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Experience with Cisco Collaboration hardware and infrastructure including installing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise branch networking.
  • Knowledge and experience with the following technologies: standalone video recorders (hard drive/SSD, Blu-Ray), A/V networking, A/V distribution amplifiers, SD/HD video environments.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting PC, MAC and Linux common desktop problems
Knowledge of HTTP Streaming (HLS) and RTMP streaming * The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • ITIL4 Foundations Certification (or ability to obtain certification in 3 months)

Pay Range: Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
