Position Title:




IT Director, Technology Platforms


Essential Functions





Strategic and Team Leadership:





Define and execute platform strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives; Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in place; Manage, lead and mentor a high impact team; Oversee multiple technology projects simultaneously to ensure scope, budget and timelines are met while proactively mitigating risks and planning for steady state support; Promote a culture of innovation, automation and continuous learning; Drive talent development; Manage the team budget and cost optimizations.



Platform Management, Operations and Governance:




Oversee end to end operations, processes, compliance controls; Lead technical design and systems integrations, taking into consideration platform availability, scalability, performance, security; Contribute as a hands-on senior architect as needed; Establish and continuously improve on standards, best practices; Maintain detailed architectural, design, configurations, operational procedures documentation; Manage releases per ABM change management policy and ITIL processes and guidelines; Provide key platform updates, reports, to stakeholders as needed; Define and monitor KPIs related to platform performance and user satisfaction; Operate a governance mechanism to establish effective controls for operations, measure and track quality of service. Vendor and Stakeholder Management - Work closely with Sourcing to manage strategic vendors, contracts, licenses and relationships; Manage 3rd party budget, spend and invoices; Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure effective implementation of the tools, services, and software. Compliance and Risk Management - Comply with ABM Code of Conduct; Ensure the portfolio of platforms comply with IT policies, procedures and any industry regulations where applicable; Implement and manage platform health, security vulnerabilities, threats and remediation strategies; Participate in internal and external audits.


Qualifications - Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a technology related field. 15+ years of experience in IT 10+ years in Leadership responsibilities, with proven track record of leading high-performance teams of 5+ team members Strong foundation in engineering or software development methodologies required. Expertise with ITIL practices and ticketing systems, such as Service Now Proficiency with configuring and managing platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager Intune, Workspace One (UEM, Intelligence), SCCM, Sharepoint, M365 Suite of products, video conferencing. Expertise in modern device management, endpoint security and application delivery Knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS and Android device management Proven experience managing the lifecycle of enterprise devices including provisioning, configuration and compliance enforcement for BYOD and corporate owned. Experience with implementing access policies, authentication mechanisms, including integration with SSO, Active Directory, Azure AD and other identity providers Experience with managing application policies to secure company data on managed and personal devices Experience with scripting (e.g. Powershell, Python) Experience with successful implementation of Windows Autopilot. Experience with building custom OS images for Windows and macOS systems (implementing GPOs, integrating hardware drivers, firmware) Understanding of enterprise networking, VPNs and Cloud services Experience with colocation, SaaS and Managed Service Providers Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage software license and managed service contracts Strategic thinking and vision with a focus on operational efficiency and user experience. Proven experience with reporting, monitoring and managing operational SLAs, Metrics, KPIs Strong project/program management skills with experience leading multiple projects. Self-starter, willing to take initiative. Strong work ethic coupled with sense of ownership and accountability for one's work.

Working Environment and Travel Requirements



This is an onsite role with 30% travel and on call requirements.
