About the Role
Ellsworth County Medical Center (ECMC) is looking for an
IT Desktop Support Technician
who loves solving problems, helping people, and keeping technology running smoothly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
End User Support
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with computers, printers, phones, tablets, and other devices
Install, configure, and maintain workstations, smart devices, and peripherals
Work with third-party vendors to support systems used across ECMC
Track incidents accurately and contribute to IT process improvements
Workstation & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory of computers, monitors, printers, tablets, and accessories
Submit equipment requests and reconcile received items
Decommission equipment following organizational policies
User Administration
Grant, modify, and revoke system access in compliance with policies
Support technology best practices and security standards
Training & Support
Provide training and guidance to new users
Help staff adapt to new or updated technologies
(Other duties as assigned -- because no two days in IT are ever the same!)

Education & Experience
High School Diploma required
Associate's Degree preferred
Entry-level technical role -- customer service experience strongly preferred
Technical Skills
Windows 11 configuration & support
Microsoft Office 365
Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)
iPad/iPhone configuration
Smart TV setup and support
Soft Skills That Matter
Strong communication skills -- you can explain tech without the jargon

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma; Associate's Degree Preferred
Experience:
Entry Level position for Technical Skills; previous job experience in Customer Service Preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Windows 11 configuration and administration.
Basic computer networking skills with understanding of TCP/IP and Wifi configuration.
Following Technical Directions.
Microsoft Office 365
Smart TV configuration.
Commitment to Strong Ethics and Integrity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language.
Ability to manage stock inventory and ensure accurate record keeping
