Job Description

The IT Computer Specialist conducts research and performs studies and surveys to collect, evaluate, and analyze data related to complex technical and operational problems. This position applies theoretical knowledge, established principles, and emerging technologies within a specialized discipline to develop recommendations, propose solutions, and support informed decision making. The role requires independent judgment, advanced problem solving skills, and a high degree of creativity and initiative.

Conducts research, studies, and surveys to obtain qualitative and quantitative data relevant to information technology systems and operations. Analyzes complex technical problems and evaluates alternative solutions to support organizational objectives. Applies knowledge of theories, principles, and technologies within a defined field of specialization to develop recommendations and technical guidance. Plans and carries out assignments independently, relying on professional experience and judgment to determine appropriate methods and approaches. Designs, develops, evaluates, or improves systems, applications, or processes related to information technology functions. Performs a wide range of complex and interrelated tasks requiring analytical thinking, innovation, and adaptability. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify requirements, interpret findings, and communicate technical concepts effectively. Prepares reports, documentation, and presentations to summarize findings, analyses, and recommended solutions.

Minimum Requirements

BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent. 6-8 years of experience in IT support. Must have an understanding of computer network cabling and network file and print services. Proficiency in computer applications: Windows and Microsoft Office applications, required. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
