The IT Auditor will complete assigned information technology audits and risk assessments for various technology-specific areas including cyber security, customer data privacy, physical security, network infrastructure, business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance audits according to T-Mobile’s security policies and various compliance obligations. The position responsibilities will include moderately complex IT audits and projects, as well as audit project management duties.

  • Conducts assigned IT audits and projects with moderate supervision. Responsible for planning and execution of specifically assigned work.
  • Performs preliminary surveys and risk analysis, assists in defining audit objectives and scope, and collects evidence in support of risk-based audit procedures.
  • Conducts assignments in accordance with approved scope, objectives, program, budget, and schedule; reviews documents, reports, policies, and procedures to evaluate and recommend process improvements.
  • Assists in developing audit programs to complete test plans and workpaper documentation as assigned.
  • Prepares reports of audit results and recommendations; participates in and holds discussions with operating personnel to review results and prepare the final draft of the audit report.
  • Makes written and oral presentations in coordination with audit leadership after audit work concludes to summarize results and conducts follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems/Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related degrees, highly preferred.
  • 0 - 3 years’ work experience in a technology organization or Internal Audit department.
  • Experienced in collecting and analyzing complex data, proficient at test work and workpaper organization, and demonstrated ability to identify risks and document processes.
  • Skilled in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in drafting and presenting issues, observations, and recommendations.
  • Knowledgeable regarding information technology control concepts, system development methodologies, and information systems management practices.
  • Capable of developing and maintaining productive relationships with various business and IT stakeholders. Has the ability to work effectively in an independent and/or professional team environment.
  • Experienced with MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio for flow charting.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software and infrastructure platforms such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Unix, Windows, SQL, Active Directory, ServiceNow, AWS, etc.
  • Interested in IT Audit and IT Compliance/IT Security as a career, excited to learn about new technologies and various aspects of the T-Mobile organization.
  • Up to 10% travel
