Why does the job exist?



The purpose of this position is to support TRD MVD client-server and web applications to provide technical solutions, independently perform the complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes or techniques.

How does it get done?



This position develops and implements software changes to Motor Vehicle Applications. This position will develop application specifications, write application code and perform application unit testing and Business testing. This position works with business analysts and quality assurance analysts during the testing process to ensure that the app Iication meets the business needs.

Who are the customers?



Customers include internal Taxation and revenue department users of the motor vehicle Tapestry system and work directly with business units. technology teams, contractors and other stakeholders in close coordination with ITD leadership.

Minimum Qualification



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering, or similar technical degree and two (2) years of experience in software programming. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements



Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Must be current with all tax reporting/payment. Employment is subject to post offer pre-employment criminal background check to include fingerprint checks and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions



Office setting. Long periods of sitting and continuous use of monitor and keyboard. Stress due to deadlines and workload. Occasional overnight travel, work after hours, weekends and/or holidays may be required; Occasionally variable work schedule.
