Position Summary
The Irrigation Manager oversees all irrigation operations, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and seasonal adjustments for residential and commercial landscape properties. This role ensures systems are efficient, compliant with local regulations, and aligned with company standards for quality and sustainability. The Irrigation Manager also supervises irrigation crews, coordinates schedules, and provides technical expertise to clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage irrigation projects from start to finish.
Use Aspire, our CRM, to:
Create proposals and to sell and track work.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials, and labor hours.
Use company software for scheduling and reporting.
Supervise and train irrigation technicians and seasonal staff, collaborate with veteran irrigation subject matter experts.
Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including drip, spray, and smart controllers.
Diagnose and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with water conservation practices and local regulations.
Communicate with clients regarding system performance, upgrades, and recommendations.
Collaborate with landscape and maintenance teams to integrate irrigation with overall site plans.
Monitor inventory and order necessary parts and supplies.
Qualifications

Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in irrigation installation and maintenance; 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers (Weather Matic, Hunter, Rain Bird, etc.), working with a two-wire system, troubleshooting, and water management.
Certifications:
Irrigation Technician or Manager certification (nice to have).
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Other:
Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in outdoor environments, including heat, cold, and wet conditions.
