DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a highly technical position requiring a working knowledge of accounting principles and the workflow of invoices through the system to render payment most efficiently to Commonwealth vendors or grantees. Under general direction from a Financial Transaction Analyst 2, an Invoice Processor performs a review of PO-based and/or Non-PO-based invoices. The incumbent ensures compliance with all rules and regulations as prescribed by the Governor, Executive Board, Office of Budget and Administration, Secretary of General Services, and the Legislature.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Alternate Work Schedule available upon completion of probationary period
  • Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: All new hires to the Commonwealth will start at the minimum salary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must possess one or more years of SAP experience.
  • You must possess one or more years of accounts payable experience.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
