JOB SUMMARY

This position has dual responsibilities, carrying out the responsibilities of an Investment Operations Analyst with focus on the functionality of the order management system and the portfolio management system and also serving as an Investment Data Steward, providing functional support of the investment systems infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Displays strong analytical skills such as assessment, decision making, and problem solving in day-to-day operations
  • Reconciles and administers changes to the portfolio management accounting system with the custodian bank for data integrity on a daily and monthly basis in a timely manner
  • Performs security setups and processes, reviews, and submits trades within the order management system and accounting system to ensure accuracy and timely settlement, in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies
  • Reviews and processes stock splits, dividends, exchanges, and other corporate actions according to internal and external regulations and policies
  • Validates control checks daily for data integrity of the data warehouse and the order management system and identifies and proposes solutions to exceptions
  • Creates and modifies reports to assist with investment analysis
  • Researches and resolves functional and operational issues within the investment systems
  • Examines investment customers\xe2\x80\x99 business requirements and specifications and offers effective data and reporting solutions
  • Assists the development and maintenance of interfaces/infrastructure of the investment systems
  • Liaison between business and Information Technology to investigate and/or develop solutions to
  • business/systems issues
  • Provides research assistance and functionality testing for investment system implementations and upgrades
  • Maintains up-to-date job procedures and policies within the investments policy and procedures manual and
  • maintains records according to record retention policy
  • Cross-trains and cross-covers Investment Operation\xe2\x80\x99s desks for contingency backup and knowledge growth
  • Carries out other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or closely related field; five years of Investment Operations, Investment Accounting, and/or Investment System experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong experience in investment management; broad knowledge of investment instruments and familiarity with investment related software such as BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, FundHub, Portia, LongViewTrading System, FXAll, and Omgeo CTM
  • Knowledge of information systems with PC proficiency and experience with common PC applications (MS Office, Windows, Excel, etc.); some experience with Power BI preferred
  • Analytical skills (Assessment / Decision Making / Problem Solving)
  • Interpersonal skills including leadership, training, and conflict management skills
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Quality orientation / Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and team orientation

  • Standard office environment with regular computer use
