FLSA: Exempt STATUS: Full Time

HOURS: Regular full-time 40 hours +

SUMMARY: Work with the Wealth Management team within all aspects of the investment process (research, recommendations, trading, managing, special projects, etc.). Manage accounts in the tier 3 and 4 groups and selected tier 1 and 2 as assigned. These tiers typically consist of relationships with assets totaling $1 million or less and include assets that include individual security management along with the proper mutual fund assets. Duties include research and trading securities, creating, and using internal and external reports, making recommendations, quarterly newsletters and research updates to the team. Other responsibilities include business development and working with not only the Wealth Management team, but also the development plans outlined by the bank in a team concept. When prospecting, Investment officers are responsible for having a plan of action for prospecting, setting up meetings, discussing our investment processes, and assisting other officers in joint calls to help acquire new relationships. Must be able to meet individually and discuss all aspects of the investment process in line with Wealth Management\'s various strategies and processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years\' work-related experience
  • Demonstrated capability of managing high net worth clients\' portfolios as a fiduciary to meet their investment needs within policy guidelines
  • Demonstrated capability of producing and assisting with increasing bank customer business
  • Ability to obtain Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager (AFIM) designation or other like accreditations that enhance ability to perform at a higher level
  • Experience with Value Line, Morningstar, and/or financial planning software
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain and update approved Master Equity Holdings list.
  • Pull weekly value lines of approved companies, perform research, and analyze companies, and update spreadsheets.
  • Executes buy and sell orders (all securities) through TradeDesk on the FIS trading platform or other approved system. Works with operations on trading issues that may arise
  • Work with institutional equity and fixed income professionals as needed in areas involved with research, analysis, and trading in various asset classes. This includes mutual fund and/or exchange traded fund (ETF) representatives
  • Research of both equities and mutual funds. This includes making recommendations on approved holdings, giving summary reports on companies, and giving reporting findings to the investment or Wealth Management team.
  • Monitor cash positions, maturities, and asset allocation shifts in investment portfolios. Report deviations and possibly solutions to the Investment team.
  • Execute directed trades at the customer\'s direction
  • Discuss financial options with customers and assist in financial plan of action for investment purposes
  • Manage high net worth clients. Work with Senior Investment Officer and investment team to prudently invest portfolios according to allocation strategies
  • Work with administration to invest accounts according to not only investor\'s needs, but while prudently following policy guidelines
  • Making recommendations through research to assist Investment Officers
  • Demonstrated capability of producing and increasing bank customer business
  • Build plan of action, prospect list, meet with prospects, follow up, and close new business
  • Working and building relationships with institutional brokers for the purpose of trading securities
  • Researching securities and making recommendations to investment team
  • Attending seminars and various training to help depth and knowledge in the industry and to meet and build peer relationships
  • Assist with presentation materials for prospects/current clients and various meetings
  • Work with performance software and be able to interpret results and research various issues. This includes being able to explain data to customers
  • Review and analyze portfolios adjusting as necessary to attain client goals
  • Attend meetings as scheduled with the investment committee (TIC) and other various meetings that are needed
  • Assist Trust Officers in investment related activities including customer contact and business development
  • Assist with board report preparation and quarterly investor reports and market commentaries as needed
  • Assist with other Trust and investment projects as needed
  • Any other projects as required or assigned
  • Responsible for servicing and growing a portfolio of clients
  • Promotes and enhances Field & Main\'s culture and fosters the development and implementation of organizational policies and guidelines
  • Actively participates in Field & Main\'s sales, service & product training meetings
  • Represents the financial institution in community affairs & civic organizations
