Job Summary:





NEPC is looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Real Assets team. The Real Assets team is responsible for covering Real Estate, Infrastructure, Energy, Timber, Agriculture, Commodities and other real assets within NEPC's broader investment research group. The Real Assets team works closely with clients and consulting teams as well as the broader Investment Research team at NEPC. NEPC's Investment Research team supports our clients by finding investment strategies and investment managers that can be added to our clients' portfolios to fit their needs, working closely with our Consulting teams.



The primary job function will be to work as part of the Real Assets team to analyze global market trends, identify attractive investment themes, perform due diligence on investment managers, write investment memos/white papers, and work with clients to build and structure investment portfolios. This includes identifying market trends, interviewing and performing due diligence (qualitative and quantitative) on investment managers and underlying assets. This position may work across the various asset classes supporting all members of the team.


Job Requirements:




Two - four years of investment or consulting experience. Strong investment knowledge and familiarity with financial/accounting principles. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg. Candidates will be expected to have proficient Excel modeling skills with the ability to take data sets and synthesize into outputs that provide the base analytics for investment research. Investment modeling experience is a plus. Must be detail oriented, able to work independently and multitask. Solid writing and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate written materials. Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality work. Comfortable and willing to engage in conversations with managers, references, and clients. Demonstrated commitment to understanding and adhering to deadlines. Team player mentality with strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with colleagues in different office locations. Mature, professional demeanor and an ability to present to clients and prospects is important, as that aspect of the role will increase with time. Knowledge and experience within real estate or other real asset classes is preferred, but similar years of experience in the investment industry will be considered. Bachelor's degree required. CAIA designation or CFA designation (or progress toward these credentials) is a plus.

Compensation:





The base salary for this role is $62,000 - $81,000 per year with an additional annual performance bonus. Individual compensation and level are based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications, location, responsibilities of the role, internal equity and alignment with market data.
