Our organization has grown leaps and bounds over the last two years and is continuing to grow, to best prepare the organization for moving forward we are seeking a highly motivated and responsible Inventory Control Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control utilizing an ERP system in a high mix, make to order manufacturing environment. As an experienced Inventory Control Lead, you are aware that inventory control and the logistics associated with it are key factors to keeping the production process moving. To facilitate the effective flow of materials, you and your team will coordinate and execute the issuing and receiving of parts. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to the other inventory team members while working cross functionally with production, purchasing, engineering and finance to ensure all stakeholders are able to perform their roles expeditiously and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Rally inventory control team behind the goal of providing the assembly team with critical components in time to meet production schedule and serve the needs of end customers.
• Mentor other inventory control team members on policies, procedures, best practices, etc.
• Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in inventory control processes and implement improvements with management approval.
• Takes ownership of inventory accuracy within ERP system through timely and appropriate receipt, transfer, and issuance transactions
• Allocates and issues inventory in ERP system according to production schedule.
• Communicates parts shortages to appropriate departments to the fulfill needs of internal customers.
• Matches physical receipts with receiving paperwork (work orders or packing slips) and performs appropriate ERP transactions.
• Research and remedy discrepancies in receiving paperwork with appropriate parties.
• Ensure the day does not end with unresolved negative inventory balances.
• Perform regular cycle counts.
• Proactively identifies, researches, and resolves inventory discrepancies.
• Identifies, labels, and tags inventory materials.
• Creates stock locations and labels.
• Ensures the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the receiving, storage, and staging areas.
• Trains and develops new team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm at our Cerritos, CA location. Starting pay for Inventory Control Lead is between $25-$28 per hour.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Two years of experience in receiving
• Three years of experience in inventory tracking and control within an ERP environment
• Experience in high mix sheet metal manufacturing environment a plus
• Fluent in written and verbal English; bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

• Abas or other ERP system
• Must be certified to operate standard forklift and stand up reach truck within 90 days of hire (Olea provides training & certification)
