Job Summary: Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems and be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. Performs a complete nightly inventory of all product lines in the Cooler area. Pays particular attention to product code dates, to ensure that all product in the Cooler has been rotated on a First-In, First-Out, basis This person also alerts the Supervisor, as well as the Production Planner, to any short-coded product in stock and to any shortages of product in HFD\'s product lines. Essential Job Functions:

• Takes a complete nightly inventory of products that are stored in the Cooler and on trailers, by counting and recording the inventory.

• Takes a complete end-of-the-month and end-of-the- period Cooler inventory, counting and recording the results.

• Notifies the Production Planner of any short dated products on inventory in the Cooler, by verbal communication, and by written communication, by filling out a Short-Dated Product form, and giving copies to the Production Planner, the Plant Superintendent, and the Sales Department.

• Transposes the Cooler inventory figures to the Production Planner\xe2\x80\x99s computer, by electronically entering the figures into the computer.

• Stocks and rotates product on the Loadout lines in the Cooler.

• Properly fills out paper work such as shipping documents, and receivers.

• Loads out and receives product into the Cooler.

• Maintains the Cooler area in a clean and orderly fashion.

• Fulfills all assignments as given by the Master Safety/Sanitation Program.

• Unloads trailers of product with a Fork-Truck

• Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Degree of Responsibility Exercised in position: The efficient completion of the Cooler inventory has a direct impact on the profit and loss potential of the entire organization. Without an accurate inventory, the plant could lose huge amounts of product, and by over producing product beyond the plant\'s customer\'s demands. This position has a great impact on the overall plants service level to our customers. Education, Prior Work Experience, and Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

• A good understanding of the dairy production process, particularly the Cooler and Loadout areas are essential.

• Very good communication skills (numerical recording, written reports to the Production Planner, etc.).

• Interact and function effectively with others

• Strong rational thinking/problem solving required

• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide, is essential.

• Ability to read and understand computerized Loadout documents is necessary.

• Ability to operate an electronic calculator is necessary.

• Must have key boarding skills and the ability to utilize computer software programs utilized in the inventory and planning functions of this position.

• Must be able to write legible.

• Must be able to count accurately, and quickly.

• Must be able to perform basic math functions

• Subject to temperature variations from 35 to 90 degrees F.

• Must be able to climb a ladder, and to mount and dismount from a Fork-Truck.

• Must monitor and report performance of equipment to supervisor.

• Must participate in and contribute to problem solving teams.

• Must accurately report data (i.e. KDT, regulatory tracking etc\xe2\x80\xa6)

• Assist or perform PM\xe2\x80\x99s to the level to which training has been completed.
