Job Description

The Warehouse Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate and complete inventory of all assets that are stored in the warehouse. The Clerk is also responsible for accurately monitoring all dock movements of product and ensures that each shipped or received item is properly identified and tagged.
Duties and Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.
Receiving

  • All assets delivered to the dock of the warehouse will be identified as to ownership
  • All assets will be properly tagged according to the RW tagging procedure. All assets, trucks, batteries, and chargers must be individually tagged.
  • All paperwork, bill of ladings etc. will be forwarded to the proper department.
  • The clerk will verify the items received match items on the paperwork for quantity and/or serial number. Report any discrepancies.
  • All RW assets will be stenciled and/or tagged before leaving the dock.
  • No item will be moved from the dock prior to steps 1-5 being completed.
  • The clerk will not allow truck drivers to move assets from the dock area.
  • Report any damage found on incoming assets to the respective department.
  • Report any department that does not provide proper and timely paperwork for items coming into the warehouse.
Warehouse Inventory Control
  • Each asset will be stored in the appropriate area within the warehouse.
  • New trucks, batteries, and chargers
  • Rental trucks, batteries, and chargers
  • Used trucks, batteries, and chargers
  • Allied assets
  • Customer trucks
  • Scrap trucks
  • Lease returns
  • Used retail ready area
  • Battery changing/storage area
  • Pallet rack
  • All assets stored in the warehouse will be stenciled and tagged according to RW procedure. Any item found without proper identification will be immediately corrected.
  • Batteries and chargers stored in the rack will have either the stenciled asset number facing the front of the rack or a paper with the asset # attached to the side of the asset facing the front of the rack.
  • All trucks will be parked in even rows according to RW procedure. A passageway break will be left between trucks every 15 yards.
  • All covers, and panels will be kept in place on the trucks.
  • The clerk will transfer any asset found not to be in the correct warehouse in EBS.
  • The clerk will report any person not authorized in the warehouse removing an asset or parts off RW assets.
  • Batteries will be removed from used trucks prior to storage in the used area of the warehouse and sent out for evaluation.
Shipping From time to time it is necessary to send batteries and chargers out for evaluation and repair. The clerk will stage these assets in a holding area until a truck load quantity is achieved. No battery or charger will be sent out without the EBS asset number stenciled on it.
  • A list of the assets will be sent to the used manager with copy to the rental manager if any rental assets are on the list. Nothing will be shipped until both the used and rental manager have approved, and a delivery receipt has been generated.
  • Once the shipment is approved by the respective managers the clerk will call the appropriate vendor for pick up. All assets will be transferred by the clerk in EBS to show the asset is now at a vendor\xe2\x80\x99s warehouse.
  • The clerk will transfer all batteries and chargers returned to the warehouse by the vendor in EB
Lease Returns
  • Lease returns do not belong to RW. They will be stored together in a separate area of the warehouse.
  • All leased assets returned from a customer are to be stored keeping all the trucks, batteries, and chargers together by customer.
  • Each individual truck, battery, and charger has to be tagged with the customer\xe2\x80\x99s name, date it came in, and the serial number of the asset. A blue color tag will be used.
  • Once a lease return asset is purchased by RW it will be moved from the lease return area and stored in the proper area according to procedure.
House keeping
  • Will keep the warehouse clean free of debris with all equipment parked in neat even rows.
Safety
  • Will always work in a safe manner following all safety practices and policies of RW.
Log The clerk will maintain a log of all assets shipped into the warehouse and shipped out of the warehouse each day. The log is to be maintained daily in an Excel format and made available to Shop Management. The log will include the EBS asset number, the serial number, and the carrier. A break with the date will be inserted for each new day.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required\xe2\x80\x99
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
  • Possess a working knowledge of EBS and MS Excel
  • Present a neat, mature, and responsible appearance.

Education/Experience: Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements:
  • Position is non-Sedentary
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Position will be required to go onto job sites to perform duties where construction is underway.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The position will require employees to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to smell.
  • Position requires the employee to climb/balance/stoop/kneel/crouch and crawl
  • The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
Pay Range:
  • $18.88 - $32.62
