Engineering Business Services Center

in The Grainger College of Engineering seeks applicants for an

Inventory Clerk

position. This position is responsible for assisting with maintaining equipment records and conducting biennial inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Assists with maintaining, updating, and revising inventory/equipment records using FABweb. Assists with affixing property tags and gathering equipment information such as model and serial numbers, location and custodial responsibilities for all new items that meet the inventory threshold. Assists with biennial inventory process. Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Broad knowledge of personal computers and software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Access, e-mail, Banner and other University financial programs. Ability to use standard office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, scanners, and printers. Skill and accuracy in preparing University and Departmental forms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accuracy, speed and completeness in performance of tasks.

APPOINTMENT INFORMATION




This is a full-time Civil Service 07683 -

Inventory Clerk

position appointed on a 12-month service basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the closing date. This is a bargained position and as such, the salary is driven by the collective bargaining agreement. The entry-level salary for the Inventory Clerk classification is $34,953.88 ($17.925/hour). This position will be expected to work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus on a full-time basis per the University's Workplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
