The brand new, state-of-the-art Wynn hospital is opening this year, and MVHS is seeking a Physician Assistant who specializes in Interventional Radiology to join our team!

Core Job Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate patient care.

• Obtains patient\xe2\x80\x99s health history that is pertinent to their presenting complaint.

• Performs physical examination that is appropriate to the presenting complaint and historical data.

• Obtains the appropriate diagnostic studies necessary to evaluate differential diagnosis.

• Prescribes the appropriate medications and other treatment modalities within expertise and scope of practice.

• Provides the appropriate patient and family education regarding treatment and recommendations for follow-up care.

• Documents assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care in the patient record.

• Identifies situations that are beyond their expertise as an IR PA or scope of practice and refers to the appropriate Radiologist.

• Applies sound judgment and skill in emergent situations.

• May be required to take evening, weekend and holiday call based upon company needs.

Education/Experience Requirements

Education

Preferred: Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges. Upcoming grads welcome to apply.

Required: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Current Registry RT (R) with AART. Current BLS and ACLS certification

Experience

Within the 2 previous years have minimum of 1000 hours of practice following completion of training in area of expertise. Hospital-based training programs may be counted towards these hours. Previous work experience as an RT (R) preferred.

Salary: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

VACCINE REQUIREMENTS: Effective January 1st 2022, you must be fully vaccinated with an FDA COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of your vaccination status as part of your new employee pre-boarding. Exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement may be granted for medical reasons.
