We are seeking a Clinical Leader to oversee and lead our Office Based Laboratory (OBL) Interventional Radiology collaboration with Fore River Urology. This role is responsible for the oversight of the OBL team. The Clinical Leader will guide a multidisciplinary staff to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while serving as a liaison between Blue Ocean, physicians, nursing staff, schedulers, and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of interventional radiology services
Oversee scheduling of outpatient IR procedures & staff scheduling
Oversee the processing of referrals
Monitor patient scheduling, case flow, and daily IR caseload
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and physicians
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols
Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Patient Care & Experience
Ensure seamless coordination of care
Monitor patient flow and reduce delays or procedural cancellations
Act as a liaison between referring providers, radiologists, patients, and families
Help to resolve patient concerns, delays, or scheduling conflicts
Budget & Resource Management
Oversee inventory, supply ordering, and maintenance of IR equipment (through an online portal)
Collaborate with vendors and biomedical teams to ensure equipment uptime
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, radiologic technology, or a related field preferred
Current RN, or RT(R) encouraged to apply!
OR Scrub Techs encouraged to apply!
Experience
Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive leadership experience in radiology or procedural/OR services
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of interventional radiology operations, compliance requirements, and clinical workflows
Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations preferred
Ability to multitask and manage a busy workload with accuracy
Skills & Competencies
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena) and scheduling software
Understanding of billing/coding in an outpatient radiology setting
Ability to lead, organize, and prioritize in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and terminology
Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,750.00 - $95,750.00 per year
