Position Summary:

Assists with delivering pastoral care and promoting spiritual wellbeing to TCM's program residents.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

o None.

Essential Job Functions:

o Assist in preparation and participation of chapel and classes.


o Assist ministering to program residents' spiritual needs by providing spiritual direction, biblical counsel, and prayer support.


o Assist in developing church and community-wide contacts.


o Assist in building healthy relationships with program staff and residents.


o Assist with Good Soil assessments.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.

Essential Physical and Mental Functions:

o Remains in a stationary position for approximately 40% of the time


o Stand or walk for up 60% of the time on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)


o Climb stairs.
o Constantly bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
o Constant use of both hands, fingers, and arms in reaching/handling/grasping.
o Operates a computer as needed.
o Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
o Constant use of hearing (correctable hearing to normal level required) for day-to-day job functions.
o Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones.
o Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
o Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
o Must be able to handle pressure of constantly working with individuals in crisis.
o Must be able to handle pressure of interruptions in daily activities.
