Overview

JSR are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and auditing, with a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and standards. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while also providing insights that enhance the organization's financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Duties

Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks. Prepare detailed audit reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and action plans for management. Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, COSO, and GAAS standards. Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. Assist in regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards. Utilize accounting software and financial management tools to perform audits efficiently. Provide insights into technical accounting issues and support financial analysis initiatives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in auditing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CIA) is preferred. Proven experience in internal auditing or public accounting with a strong understanding of risk management principles. Familiarity with financial report writing and regulatory reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools; experience with general ledger accounting is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Knowledge of financial concepts including tax experience, governmental accounting, and technical accounting practices. Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
