Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the design, development, verification of assigned mechanical components to include sheet-metal / machined-metal parts and assemblies, and theoretical mechanical concepts required to integrate mechanical and electrical components into one assembly.
Essential Functions
Analyze manufacturing processes, production equipment, and methods for continuous improvement projects
Design, review and evaluate the manufacturing processes of new and existing products, including ergonomic assessments, productivity improvements, manufacturability, and cost improvements
Develop capital expenditure proposals and perform cost justifications for new equipment
Conducts studies in operations to maximize workflow, material routing, and spatial utilization
Provides technical assistance and engineering support in the form of process improvement including performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative and corrective action as required
Conduct safety audits/assessments, identify and work with management to resolve safety issues, and ensure that accepted corrective actions are implemented
Decide how the company should allocate its equipment and labor within the framework of existing physical constraints and budget
Represent Crystal in the most positive manner with prospective and current suppliers and the community we serve
Required Qualification
Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person")
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering or related field
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Occasional exposure to manufacturing floor and testing environments. May require lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods during product testing.
