As a

DevOps Intern

, you will have the opportunity to increase your technical knowledge and numerous opportunities to interact with all parts of the organization, including presenting to senior management.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with intern group to solve business problem and present solutions to executive leadership. Gain exposure to UFG's leadership team through various networking events, including participation in the Build Your Network Program. Participate in a variety of development and social activities with interns from other business units. Assist DevOps teams with project work and documentation. Develop understanding of the basic functions in a property and casualty insurance company. Learn and apply corporate standards, methodologies, compliance and testing practices. Actively participate in a cross-functional team and contribute to meetings.

Qualifications:

Current student pursuing a degree in computer science, programming, or related field and has knowledge of at least three areas: + Scripting languages (PowerShell/Python/etc....) + Windows and Linux (RedHat/CentOS/etc....) Operating Systems
+ Process Automation Best Practices
+ Information Security Best Practices
+ Database Technologies
Microsoft Application Administration Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Minimum 3.0 GPA Motivated self-starter Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills Creative and resourceful Possess ability to communicate clearly with project team.
