Intern - Construction Management- GBA Builders

GBA Companies is hiring Construction Management Interns (Lenexa, KS) for GBA Builders


GBA Builders provides pre-construction consulting, general contracting, design-build and construction management at risk services.
As an intern you may gain hands-on experience with estimating, preconstruction, design management, project management, scheduling, quality control reviews, site visits, and much more.

Responsibilities:

Assist project managers with day-to-day activities such as drawing coordination, safety reports, daily logs and reports, progress photos, quality assurance and site communication and coordination. Assist with estimating by contacting subcontractors and completing quantity take-off Quality control assistance Assist with schedule evaluations and updates Assist project buyout and preconstruction Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work Attend site visits for new projects Assist with project budget management Provide Safety assistance while on job sites Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering OR other related engineering or business discipline with interest in construction Must have completed at least 2 years of their education Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products Ability to work in fast pace situations while maintaining focus Desire to work in a team environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization Previous internships are a definite plus, but not required
