What you'll be challenged to do:
During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Assist in the planning, design, and construction documentation of civil infrastructure projects for clients such as airports, utilities, and municipalities.
• Prepare basic engineering drawings, sketches, and layouts using CAD and related design software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project design and coordination.
• Support the preparation of material quantities, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with report preparation.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving.

What you'll bring to our firm:

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A demonstrated interest in civil/site, aviation, or transportation engineering through coursework, internships, or project experience.
• Basic understanding of engineering and design principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative and organization.

What we prefer you bring:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Prior internship or academic experience with stormwater design, grading, or site layout.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
