INTERMEDIATE ANALYST



The Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) is seeking an

Intermediate Analyst

to join its compliance team. The Intermediate Analyst helps to ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures and contract terms are followed and documented pursuant to a company receiving a grant or tax credit. A successful candidate will have experience defining, evaluating, determining, documenting and defending qualification and amount of disbursement. The Intermediate Analyst provides experience and guidance to members of the compliance team to achieve long and short term goals. Duties may include: training, leading a risk assessment, recognizing trends and making process recommendations when appropriate

Principal Duties

Perform and review regulatory/statutory research for tax incentives and grants under the purview of GOEO Verify data upon communication from company Ensure compliance with applicable statute, regulations, rules, policies and procedures Assist efforts to achieve or maintain compliance set forth by the Director of Compliance Advise and assist in developing and updating department policies and procedures Recommend changes to required documentation for audits and inspections Advise and assist in developing employee training Provide support during assessments Security controls

Ideal Candidate

3+ years' experience in compliance, audit or related position Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Detailed oriented, organized and ability to meet deadlines Clear and concise communication with superior written and verbal communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) Case Management software experience Ability to maintain confidentiality Experience with preparing financial reports and documentation and reconciling financial statements

Preferred but not required

Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or similar certification
