Build, repair, refurbishment and modification of aircraft Cabinetry. Assembles, and refurbishes interior aircraft cabinets.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Utilizes FAA approved technical data to determine proper repair scheme, including quantity and materials needed to complete repair/modifications to interior parts.
Performs composite / fiberglass repairs on a variety of interior components
Basic cabinet repairs / fabrication of parts
Cleaning of interior parts
Repair and refurb of aircraft cabinets
Remove and replace decorative materials on interior parts including but not limited to fabrics, tedlar, matting and kydex.
Prep for paint, priming and painting of aircraft interior items
General repair items including filling and fairing, bonding and sealing, replacement of seals, nutplates, rivnuts, inserts and ferrules
Be proficient in the use of air powered hand tools and related equipment
Ability to interpret and comprehend aircraft repair manuals, engineering repair orders and related drawings
Completes all required documentation for work performed legibly and accurately
Complies with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing job duties
Basic sheet metal and composite repairs
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
High School/ GED
A&P desired
Experience:
Journeyman Technician Role requiring Intermediate Skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to.
Generally, 2-4 years of experience in area of responsibility
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Assignments require Standard Knowledgeof a Technical Area.
Rapid learning and application of new information and concepts within the Technical Area begins to take place at this level.
Ability to interpret and comprehend aircraft repair manuals, repair orders, and related blueprint drawings.
Composite experience strongly desired.
Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
Be proficient in the usage of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements
This position requires extensive standing, bending, kneeling depending on work being performed. Technician will have all tools required to complete duties
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
Valid Drivers License.
Must be able to work in hot/Cold - Indoor/Outdoor.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Must be able to do work above head.
Must be able to work at heights.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Must be able to climb.
