Airy Kitchens is hiring a Design Coordinator

We are looking for a caring, outgoing, and driven individual who excels at communication, technical details, and project oversight.

Responsibilities:



Manage all client communication during the design and project management of residential renovations. Work with the senior designer to design, detail, and document all aspects of interior projects including detailed custom cabinetry, materials selections, fixture specifications, and window coverings. Work with our network of reps and makers to create comprehensive estimates and presentations for each project. Create design presentation with Senior designer and attend presentation with clients. Manage follow up needs. Write contracts and manage payments for projects. Work with project management team to create build documents for each project for contractors, permits, and project managers. Work with Project Manager during construction to manage changes and ensure the built product meets expectations. Project site visits required.

Other responsibilities may include:



Source hardware, furniture, and fabrics and schedule learning sessions with reps. Manage showroom. Stock supplies, organize samples, and help run events. Help marketing team with research, writing, photos, and events.

You will be working with a small team of designers and project managers that know a lot about houses and renovation. We also enjoy working closely with wonderful clients and a great team of contractors. Coworkers typically work independently and are in and out of the office often. Weekly meetings and monthly team lunches ensure projects are on track and the team gets some time to unwind. To accommodate our clients sometimes early or late meetings are required, but typically work is 830-5 M-F.

Requirements:



Bachelor in architecture, interior design, construction management, or minimum four years in a professional design or build office setting. 2 year minimum professional experience in design or construction management office. Please provide work examples. Communication is the key to this position. Coordinator must have experience managing client communication in a professional setting. Licensed driver with a vehicle, comfortable and knowledgeable driving in and around Philadelphia. Proficient working knowledge of Sketchup is required. Photoshop, illustrator, mac proficiency preferred. You will be tested on your sketchup abilities at interview.
