The Intensive In-Community (IIC) Therapist provides therapeutic services to youth and families involved in the New Jersey Children's System of Care. Services are delivered in the home or community setting and are designed to support emotional, behavioral, and relational needs. The IIC Therapist works collaboratively with youth, families, and care management teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster stability, resilience, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
individual, family, and/or group therapy
within the home or community in alignment with the youth's individualized service plan.
Conduct
biopsychosocial assessments
to inform treatment planning.
Collaborate with
Care Management Organizations (CMO), Mobile Response, and other CSOC providers
to ensure coordinated care.
Develop measurable
treatment goals and objectives
that are strengths-based and family-driven.
Maintain
timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation
in compliance with Medicaid, CSOC, and agency standards.
Utilize
evidence-based interventions
to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.
Engage families and natural supports to strengthen coping skills, improve functioning, and support long-term stability.
Attend supervision and training sessions as required to maintain quality and compliance.
Adhere to
ethical and professional standards of practice
and comply with all state, Medicaid, and CSOC regulations.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
Active New Jersey clinical license required:
LCSW, LPC, LMFT
(or LSW/LAC/LAMFT under supervision).
Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families preferred.
Familiarity with the
Children's System of Care (CSOC)
and community-based services strongly desired.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and provide services in the home/community setting.
Must meet background clearance requirements and maintain liability insurance (if applicable).
