AV Integration Technician - Memphis, TN

Modern Operating Rooms (OR) continue to grow in complexity as new devices, processes and technologies enter the clinical environment. Today\'s clinicians must deliver safe and effective patient care while also managing budgets, a growing array of surgical technologies, clinical data, communications, and OR safety concerns. STERIS Operating Room Integration Systems, including the HexaVue Integration System, are designed to improve workflows, procedure guidance and peer collaboration for OR staff during surgical procedures. Our AV Integration Technicians are critical to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our industry leading OR Integration Equipment. Join our OR Integration team supporting accounts throughout great states of Tennessee, Arkansas and parts of Kentucky and Alabama.

Please note: This role requires 90 -100% weekly travel including extensive drive/fly times and overnight stays.

Duties

  • Help install operating room integration systems. This includes physical placement of equipment, installation, termination and interconnection of all cables, downloading and configuration of software; and testing of all functions per test documentation as required. This Position will typically work under the direction of Integration Specialist (I or II) or Integration Project Manager.
  • Operates with limited direct supervision.
  • Support project installations under the supervision of the Integration Specialists (I or II) with oversight of Integration Project Manager. Basic duties include installation, testing, and demonstration of integration systems. May be asked on occasion to interface with customers and hospital staff.
  • Provide verbal and written progress reports to the installation leader/project manager.
  • Perform administrative duties in a timely manner including checklists, Siebel entry, expense reporting, time entry, and others as required.
  • Maintains courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
  • May be asked to assist with warranty calls, field upgrade programs, etc.
Required Experience
  • Associate degree in electronics or similar discipline, plus one to two years of related experience strongly preferred. Degree requirement will be waived with a minimum of two (2) years\' comparable experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Technical and troubleshooting skills along with strong organization and problem-solving skills required.
  • Proficiency in computers and windows software strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and articulately with customers.
  • Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel extensively as required.
Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.
