An Average Day:



(Includes, but not limited to)




Verify Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance benefits for new referrals. Audit admission charts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Partner closely with Central Intake, location business offices, and the corporate billing department. Communicate patient liability (deductibles, coinsurance, etc.) to families with clarity and compassion. Re-verify payer information annually and resolve discrepancies. Identify and address potential areas of compliance exposure or risk of non-payment. Document and update patient records in the medical record system. Other duties as assigned



Requirements:




Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or insurance-related field preferred (commensurate experience considered). Minimum of

3 years healthcare-related experience

with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance (hospice preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy and proficiency with office equipment/software. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Dependable, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
