As an Insurance Agent I, you will have the opportunity to acquire the Insurance industry knowledge necessary to achieve licensing (Personal Lines), with all training and associated costs covered by AAA Northeast! Services new Insurance accounts by processing payments, researching underwriting criteria and acting as liaison with Insurance Companies, demonstrating Five Diamond Service in all interactions. Once licensed, sells personal lines insurance products to members who contact us over the phone, online and in retail branches.

What you will do:

Insurance Sales Responsibilities: o Sell all insurance products and services, meeting or exceeding sales goals. o Compile coverage and rating information; confirm insurer's underwriting criteria, coverage and premium data. o Provide the member with product and premium proposals that best fit their needs. o Develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals in a timely manner. o Participate in sales programs designed to develop insurance prospects; maintain prospect files in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. o Develop general knowledge of Life working towards making referrals to licensed agents. Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities: o Develop familiarity with various insurance carrier products, services, technology and processes. o Follow all agency processes and procedures in quoting and binding coverage, as well as receipt and processing of all member payments. o Work with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposures. o Gain general knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent's authority. Member Service Responsibilities: o Provide AAA Five Diamond service to all current and prospective AAA Insurance clients. o Services new Insurance accounts by processing payments, researching underwriting criteria and acting as liaison with Insurance Companies. o Build professional relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, dealerships, real estate agents, etc., to ensure success of AAA Insurance and to broaden community knowledge of AAA Insurance products and services. o Gain knowledge of the AAA Northeast membership and its benefits to be able to offer and sell to clients.

Education


High School Diploma required Associate's Degree preferred


Experience


2+ years Sales or customer service experience required and Insurance sales experience preferred
Licenses and CertificationsPersonal Lines Insurance License upon completion of training Required Life License within 1 Year Preferred
