Job Description

Perform preventive inspections of plant instruments related to process and considered as critical, following the requirements of the particular S.O.P. Conduct programming when required and assist in documentation design when needed. Troubleshooting of plant processes requiring a great deal of instrumentation.

Typical Accountabilities

Responsible for critical instruments calibration as state by S.O.P. (Microprocessors, PLCs, Temperature Indicators, Temperature Recorders, Pressure Indicators and Recorders, Temperature Controls, etc.). Responsible for the proper operation of the plant convenience instruments. Responsible for the troubleshooting of pneumatic, electric and electronic instrumentation. Documentation of the calibration program as established by S.O.P. file and calibration sticker. Keep a well-organized file on the calibration and history of all plant instrument. Assure standard instruments are updated in term of calibration and certified by N.B.S. Audit the calibration procedure of the contractors performing the calibration of standards as required by supervisor. Assist the Electricians or any other pier on related jobs, when required by supervisor. Assist the Maintenance Planners on the planning of jobs related to instrumentation, when required. Assist the troubleshooting to plant processes, whenever requested. Preventive and corrective work orders of utilities and production equipment. Responsible for keeping and maintaining his/her working area organized and cleaned. Responsible for following all CGMP and Safety Rules and using his/her safety equipment while performing any job. Responsible for repair of electronic equipment of plant. Responsible of assuring proper programming of equipment as required. Assist when required in the design of new documentation and schedules to update instrumentation.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

Education / Experience:

Associate degree (A. A.) on Instrumentation or Electronics with diploma or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Safety and GMP awareness
