The Cedar Hills Recreation Center (CHRC) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as instructors in gymnastics, preschool enrichment, sports, dance, STEM including arts and cooking. If you are excited about recreation and ready to share your expertise with the community, we would love to hear from you!
Our instructors engage with a diverse community, offering classes for all ages-from preschoolers to seniors. Classes take place both indoors and outdoors, and we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all participants.
is seeking instructors for teaching classes to preschool and school-aged youth in the following program areas:

  • Gymnastics - All Levels
  • Preschool - Enrichment classes in art, science & music
  • Sports - Examples: Basketball, Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Tennis, T-Ball/Softball/Baseball, Karate, and Introduction to Sports/Athletics (multi-sport classes)
  • Dance - Examples: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Dress Up and Dance
  • STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering
  • Arts and Crafts
  • General Interest - Examples: Babysitting, Cooking, Music
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and instruct recreational programs, or classes based on your expertise.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for participants of all ages and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum and activities to meet program goals.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during classes or programs.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to participants to enhance their learning experience.
Schedule:
  • Part-time, flexible to meet facility and program needs.
  • Staff are typically scheduled anywhere from 5 to 20 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00pm, Monday - Friday and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Saturdays & Sundays.

Essential Job Functions
No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age.
Pay rate range: $18.97-20.14 hourly
Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
Pay rate range: $20.68 - $23.30 hourly.
Must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Pay rate range: $22.82 - $25.69 hourly.
: This is an advanced level position. Candidates must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training equivalent to four years of college in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.
Pay rate range: $32.11 - $36.14 hourly.

Leave

Paid Time Off (PTO), will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked. This is in addition to Sick leave and may be scheduled by employees for any reason! (available to PT and PTB only)
  • The ability to earn and utilize up to forty (40) hours of paid sick leave per year
  • Family Medical Leave eligibility for qualified family and medical related reasons
  • Paid compassionate leave is available to all part-time employees to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, to make arrangements (if necessary), and to attend memorial services. Employees are eligible for paid compassionate leave for up to the hours scheduled in their average work week.
