Instructor of American Sign Language





ABOUT THIS POSITION





Summary:

Full-time, instructor

position in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Mass Communications beginning August 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

include teaching First-Year American Sign Language at the undergraduate level

with a teaching load of 12 credits per semester. The successful candidate

will contribute to the overall strength of the department by helping to recruit

students and by contributing to professional organizations. This position

requires the ability and willingness to develop a certificate program and to

expand course offerings as well as to advise clubs, organizations, and

activities that promote ASL learning. The successful candidate will bring a

diverse worldview, both through life experience and education.




SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



This

position reports to the chair of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Mass Communication (LLMC).



QUALIFICATIONS



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be

Minimum Qualifications Required:



Master's
Degree in ASL or experience in any occupation in which the required experience

was gained.

Salary:
