The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for a part-time temporary Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer to teach the Spring 2026 semester. The successful applicant will have a master's degree or an earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
The successful candidate will be required to teach core chemical and biochemical engineering courses, laboratories or other courses as assigned. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position. The position may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon performance, department need, funding and student enrollment.
The Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) Department offers curriculum toward B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. Approximately 160 students are enrolled in the CBE program. For additional information regarding the CBE Department please visit the website.
