Ensures business training and educational needs are met by creating, developing, writing, and implementing training materials, programs and curriculums for both internal and external customers.

What you will do:

  • Develops and revises training course work to include: booklets, lesson plans, proficiency tests, newsletters, and/or websites. Develops written work through research, working with subject matter experts, and under the supervision of management or by the review, analysis, and interpretation of transmittals, critical tasks, program memoranda, coverage issues, and change requests.
  • Identifies procedural and system changes that impact training materials. Makes recommendations on appropriate actions for change and development of training materials or curriculum. Evaluate and make recommendations for changes to improve the effectiveness of training courses and curriculum.
  • Maintains effective relationships with contractors, business associates and other departments. Develops desk procedures and ensures compliance with contractual guidelines.
  • Assists in special projects including plan tracking and updates.


What you need to qualify:
  • Bachelor\'s degree-in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field plus one year of writing experience; OR Two-year degree with two-years writing experience; OR Three years writing experience plus one year insurance or related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, interpersonal, conceptual and planning skills.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with groups. Ability to work continually and effectively under stringent pressure including constant and numerous deadlines and company and contract ambiguities.
  • Microsoft Office.


What we prefer you have:
  • CTC 1-800 Medicare experience (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor\'s degree- English
  • Three years-experience in technical writing or training development or design.
  • Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. Experience with desktop publishing programs and Click2Learn tool book (a web authoring software). PowerPoint.
  • Professional Writing Development or Design Certification.


Work Environment:
  • Typical office environment. Some travel may be required.
