The 504 Instructional Assistant attends to the physical, behavioral, emotional, and educational needs of Section 504 students. The 504 Instructional Assistant helps to carry out Section 504 plans for one student by implementing necessary accommodations, which may include limited mobility assistance, toileting assistance, feeding assistance, allergen mitigation, behavior support, help with disability-related self-care routines, and other duties as assigned.



Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.

Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.

Effective July 1, 2025

Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.55/Hour)
